It already exists in many industries such as restaurants and construction.
I can just see the unemployment ranks swell

Unless one has been an employer and faced with sales taxes, corporation taxes, Medicare taxes, Medicaid taxes, Liability insurance, Workmans compensation insurance, State Income Tax, Federal Income tax, franchise taxes, Disability taxes, Unemployment insurance taxes all sorts of licensing fees to name only a few, you haven't lived.
The days of the small employer continue to dwindle.
Soon we will all work for the government, Hmmm what does that remind me of?
