The two officers you talk about were Waverly Jones and Joseph Piagentini. While I never new Joseph, his brother Bob is a friend of mine and though I have lost touch with him in the last year or so, I'm not sure if he still lives in Happague or has since moved to Conn. which is where he conducted most of his business.
It is as a result of his brother that I proudly dislpay a "Price of Honor" license plate on my vehicle here in N.J.
The monies collected on the sales of these license plates by the State of N.J. go to support the families of fallen police officers.
I just wondered if you knew either Joseph or his brother Bob....Wow, this is my 2nd small world post of the day.
I'm had a copy of the video but as I recall, Bob wanted it so I sent it to hime.
BTW, you are 100% right it was an execution. To this day, whenever parole hearings come up, his family always shows up to protest it to make sure that parole is never granted
