Re: Why change the prices?
My comment wasn't about the economy as much as the general apathy of the chipping community and the illegal chips specifically. Without going into detail here, I have seen a steady decline in the last few years. Many old time collectors has stopped altogether and new collectors are rare. New finds of illegals are easily filled after 5-6 chips. That leaves value very hard to determine. Lets say there are 6 known chips on a New Orleans club. If the value of said chip was $100 for the known population, what is the value of 2 more found? Its not $100. Its maybe not half that anymore. The collectors have filled up their collections and any additional finds are too much for the market. I'm find of stuck on what to do next.
