1)Other than the dinner and gathering with over 150 other chippers and friends, you can expect:

A guest speaker - Speakers in the past have included Oscar Goodman and last years speaker the owner of the South Point.

HOF winner announcements. Other special awards like book of the year and article of the year.
Also in the past we have had the auction of Carlos's painting and the first 15 or so lots of the club auction.

2)For someone interested in the club, I would recommend that every member attend (Although very few people actually do). The business meeting includes reports form every BOD member as well as some other chairs. There is an open discussion where any member can bring up issues or complaints as well.

3) its always advisable to pre-register for the tournaments. However there has on most occations been additional seats available before the tournament starts.

Look for me at the convention (the guy with a cigar alwasy in his mouth, or as my wife says, follow the smell of the big stinky cigar....) as I would love to say hello.
