That is an outrageously ridiculous pricing structure. One or two point of access routers (cost less than $100 each to purchase if they were starting this as a new service) would be enough to cover the area. The bandwidth costs couldn't come close to justifying such fees per day. Maybe they have to use two union electricians (one to make sure the plug stays plugged in and one shop steward to supervise the plug monitor and venue) at $800/day for the pair (just a guess). That might sound ludicrous, but it wouldn't surprise me if my guess is close to being factual.
