I have fished almost every port in Mexico including Palmas De Cortez, at least once and some several times. We used to drive down so we could take our own light tackle at least twice a year. Did it for 12 or so years in 80's - 90's
I would not even think about fishing there today without several armed body guards. But guns are illegal in Mexico unless you are a member of a drug cartel!
