my frustration with the comp system is outlined below:
I go to AC usually once a month, more in the summer. I almost always stay at Caesars or Bally's (Borgata if I go with work). I am a platinum card holder,not diamond. Both my husband and I gamble there.
1. New Years eve- couldn't get a break on a room...not looking for a freebee but the pricing was outrageous. I would have gladly paid 350 for the night but 750???
2. Two weeks later, they comp me for both Friday and Saturday nights - that was done based on my previous play as I took a beating the previous few visits. I then won on that visit.
3. I didn't get to go in February as my husband was laid up.
4. I call to go in March and they want 350 a night a Caesars and 250 for Ballys and the explanation is I didn't spend enough out of pocket at the tables. I played Saturday and Sunday, with the exception of the meeting, all day, both days but I won. The host actually quoted me the amount I took out of my pocket. Didnt make a difference that I continued to play on my winnings for two days.

The inconsistency is what is bothering me. I would have rathered been given a discount on New Years Eve and charged a reasonable amount for the weekend I was comped and the weekend I was quoted the high rates. I am a regular and all my play should be considered.

My lesson learned is that I should never color in before I leave the tables. In the future, I will walk away with my chips, cash them in and then rebuy in at the next table.
