Question about Storing Chips in Cardboard Flips

I have a lot of chips stored in the 2.5x2.5 cardboard flips. Once in the flip, I store them in a double row box. Each row in the box holds about 70 flips. The rows are nice, not tight at all.

OK....here's my question:

I was going through a couple of my boxes tonight and noticed that A LOT of the flips are "stuck" to each other. They are stuck together in the center clear film area. All of them did come apart without tearing the clear film wrap, but now I'm worried that these flips may cause future problems. It's almost as if there is something "sticky" in the center of the flip on the outside of the clear film wrap.

Has anybody else had a problem like this? I really like using the flips, but I'm not too thrilled with this "sticky" thing that's going on right now. I use the Air-Tites for my better chips. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
