As A Ford employee(31 years skilled tradesman)I will tell exactly why we have way more recalled vehicles than Toyota.ITS BECAUSE WE GET OUT IN FRONT OF OUR PROBLEMS RATHER THAN HIDE THEM.Toyota feels that a recall will hurt their quality image.They have spent alot of money to sweep these issues under the carpet and thats why Washington is trying to get to the bottom of all this.Talk to me when this is all over about who has more recalls(and this is FAR from over)
