Also I believe the last of the cars with sequential turn signal lights.
Ford for many years held to the 3 year look alikes before a major model change and this was the last of this group.
If I recall, I think this model even had a swivel out drivers seat and was one of the first cars to offer 8 track players
About 2 years ago, I had a chance to buy a Burgundy colored one for only $400. It did require a bit to fix it up, though the body was straight and there was 1 small spot with rust, the headliner was missing and the dash was cracked.
It ran reasonably well and was being driven daily but I felt it had a bit of a torque converter problem.
Anyway, if it weren't for the Red on Red I might have bought it as it was cheap as dirt.
Chances are however, it would probably still be sitting in a garage untouched.
as much as I like car restoration one can always find one fully restored for much less that one has to put into it.
I suppose if one has the time and it's a labor of love, well, then it's totally a different ballgame
I really like the idea that Ford had in 1964 for the T-Bird convertible with the plastic tonneau cover to fit over the rear seats to make it look like a 2 seater again. That is now pretty rare to find
