...I think Bush's war + tax cut & the unwilliness of the Senate/House (both parties) refusal to say no (& look weak) is more to blame than the tax & spend policies of the Democrats after W's first 6 years. Add the Federal prescription plan and TARP (history repeating, bad Bush plans & poor Senate/House leadership) late in W's second term and here we are today.

I will agree that the current Obama/Democrat proposals are only going to make it worse.
Problem is we need are tax increases + entitlement reduction (not likely until it's too late).

I do like Davd Spraggs suggestion of after 6 years we hang them: Senate, House, Supreme Court, lobbyists!!
But, that's just my opinion. Whatever happens we're in for a bumpy ride.
