Re: Car crashes in Edgewater lobby; 2 dead

LAUGHLIN -- A car traveling at a high rate of speed has slammed into the Edgewater Casino in Laughlin killing two people and sending five others to the hospital.

The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Witnesses say the car was going in excess of 100 mph when it crashed through the front doors of the casino. Metro says the driver is 75-years-old and there were no passengers in the car. The driver may have suffered a medical episode and was no seriously injured.

TV2 News Director Sam Medrano in Laughlin told 8 News Now that the car is 100 feet from the front door inside the building. It appears the car was traveling at a high rate of speed on Bruce Woodbury Drive, jumped several curbs and then slammed into the front of the building.

LasVegasNOW.com will have the latest on this developing story.

Hope it wasn't a Toyota.
I think the lobby eye captured it, too...
Terrible news! My prayers for the killed & injured
