It's just hard to maintain sympathy for a country of people who (before the earthquake) exploited children in almost slave conditions, and now begs for help which when sent is looted and pilfered, and money stolen. The people NEEED help, but its like helping wild animals, they need to be tranquilized before you get too close. Even a nation wanting to help will draw the line somewhere, Florida proved that. $$$$
Some appreciate it. The problem is getting aid to them. Hopefully the USA can get Haiti back to where it once was, a poor, corrupt, backward, child exploiting, AIDS ravished country.
I am just venting- I sent a sizable donation, only to see the news of what is happening down there. I would donate more if I thought it would reach its intended target. Remember Montserrat? I send money there too, I feel that money was well spent.
