For those of you that are interested in variations, here are some details on the three types of Boulder Station $1.00 BJ chips. On the three examples, you will find wide $, thick $ and thin $. Each of the scans were done at exactly the same resolution and exposure adjustments.

You'll notice that the wide $ chip color is slightly more cream, which seems to be common. However, examining the edges of the three chips together, it is difficult to tell one for the other. I would speculate that perhaps the wide $ variety was the first issue and the other two were reorders. I don't know if all of the wide $ chips have turned cream with age or longer exposure to Sonic burger fumes or what. Or, then again, maybe they were just made this way.

I have also done some zoomed cropped examples which were taken from the same three chips. We are looking at: N0494, N0494.1 and N0494.2
