I have to question, how do you see a retiree collecting Social Security getting GOVERNMENT money? It's YOUR money
Take a look at your paycheck someday, and you might find that every week you have been paying a Social Security Tax and Medicare tax

If you are lucky enough to reach retirement then and only then does the government start to dole out YOUR money

Social Security was and remains a tax but things weren't bad enough, congress decided that you should pay a further tax on monies you have already been taxed on
You might do a bit of research and you will find which party was in power when not only were the Social Security monies placed into the general fund but also where the taxation began.
I'll give you a hint, That party has been called the tax and spend party.

You want to complain about this, why not ask why our politicians don't take part in the Social Security System and what they collect even if they only serve one term in office.
THAT my friend is getting government money.

FYI, on a personal note, I have never received unemployment, collected welfare, received food stamps, or ever received a dime from any governmental agency. I got off my dead ass I fight poverty, I work and I vote
