It's definitely at the low end of the Reno casino heirarchy, but as Rich pointed out, it has maintained its character (and characters) over the years. The clientele is quite a bit more blue-collar than you'll find at some of the newer places in town. I first visited the Cal-Neva in the mid-'70s, and almost nothing has changed since then, including some of the dealers. That said, I like the place, and I almost always stop by when I'm in Reno.
