I've always considered the OTY process as being decided by an unlimited number of volunteer committee people who offered to nominate their choices ... with NO ONE who wished to be on the committee of judges being excluded ... certainly not a hand-picked selection of 'elitists'. We'll see how this new experiment goes... and how much it costs.
