Our chip collecting hobby, like other hobbies, and the economy is having a tough time these day's. The club grouth is slow. chip prices are down, a lot of people selling collections ect. So it can be a a little depressing at times. You see all the money invested, and value dropping in your collections.. But, I started to think about the opportunties, we have right now. The best bargins in a long time, are everywhere. People selling good chips at face, I spent a lot of money traveling around buying these chips years ago, probably droping some $ while in casino. But. today you can buy a great number at or near face, from your home. So, really it is a good time to be a chip collector, and add to your collection. in a couple years the economy will be good and the club will grow and chips will increase in value. Harvesting is still the real thrill for me.Traveling to casinos is part of the thrill. The good people in our club, and conventions are the real plus. I feel better looking at our hobby in this frame of mind. Can't wait for the convention. God bless our members who are going thru tough economic times, it will get better.
