One of the reasons I first settled down here in Marin County was because of the "Dead".
Back in the "days" this place was like the wild west with so much going on, especially with the music!
Anyone who lived here during that time knows what I am referring to:
The Dead, Quicksilver, Sons of Chaplin, the Airplane, Steve Miller & Boss Skaggs, Elvin Bishop, Sly & the Family Stone, Bonnie Raitt, Night Ranger, ... the list just goes on and on!
But it was the "GRATEFUL DEAD" that always topped my list.
Hanging out at the Sleeping Lady Cafe, Campolindos Juice Bar, New Georges, the Lyons Share, with piles of all the "white stuff" everywhere you turned, and great music being played somewhere, every night of the week.
Ah yes, the good ol' days!
Sometimes I wonder how we even lived through it all.
