Bob, we DO think alike- I have a 2004 loaded Expedition (at least when my big ass is in it it is FULLY LOADED hahaha).
As far as the hybrid model goes... I have to say I was impressed. I did not expect it to be much over a super golf-cart! I was wrong, it had a lod ot pep and response, plus they are very reliable I am sure but I just have not fully bought into the idea yet. The unknown repair costs and BATTERY repalcement looms in the back of my mind. The V6 model gets very good milage (not like the hybrid of course) and as an ExxonMobil employee I get 10% off my fuel so the gas milage is not a top priority yet for me. Well, I was really fond of the GOAT CART I posted in the earlier post.. (very pretty goat too!)
This is the second car I have financed TOTALLY and at 0%. All my life I ONLY financed for 36 and occasionally 48 months and then put down a big down payment. After I retired I could pay cash for cars and my financal advisor said NEVER pay cash if you can borrow cheaper- I told him it hurt my soul since I had borrowed all my life because I could not afford to pay cash, and NOW that I can pay cash he advised me to borrow. He is right of course but it just goes against everything. The first cat I totally financed I could not bring myself to actually do it, I wrote a check for $1000 down. The $1000 did little to effect the loan but otherwise I would have had an upset stomach on the ride home.
Come clean and tell the truth Bob, there is really a STEAM driven car in your garage isn't there? (and it AIN'T because gasoline prices either!! )
