I too feel for the plight of the Haitian people. Unfortunately I am seeing Haiti becoming another New Orleans. Aid is being provided as well as logistically as possible and the supplies are being looted and stolen- they (some) are cutting their own throats, or at least the throats of the ones needing the aid.

There are complaints against the USA for the slow response but it is simply not possible to make provisions any faster due to the single airport and damaged infrastructure. As time goes on conditions will improve for aid to be distributed. Sadly, time is critical for them, but I find it distasteful to hear the complaints against the USA (and others) who are doing the best they can.

I keep remembering the New Orleans ‘victims’ looting the electronic stores.
