One cannot beat the quality of produce, dairy and meats (along w/ other fresh food products) as offered at Walmart. I was just in Publix yesterday to check out the eggplants and every single one was touched and still remaining on the shelf (with the produce mgr standing right there on the floor). Winn-Dixie had ground chuck that was turning black along with wilted bok choy @ $3.88 while Walmart's bok choy was $2.18 and freshly cut. A while back I mentioned to the mgr that rotting vegies and fruit should be fed to the dumpster and his reply was "It'll sell!."
Bananas at Walmart are still 20c less per pound than any other super market chain in town.
