... that's why I asked here. I didn't know there was a limit on how much could be cc'd.. it makes sense though since the dealer has to pay a commission on taking the cc payment.

After I retired I did buy a car using a debit card (was the same as using a check) and that got me to thinking about a credit card and getting the perks this time around.

If I can get the 0% financing that some are offering, it's a no-brainer, I finance the whole thing.

Always a fly in the ointment! It was a good idea anyway.
