Question for you Financial Thinking Guys...
I have a question for all you financial wizards out there. Buying things using your credit card offers some buyer protections. I am about to buy a new car for my wife and I have a MasterCard with a high enough limit to totally pay for the car using it. I would then pay off the credit card a few days later, essentially I would just be paying cash for the car. Would there be any real advantage for doing that? Also, the credit card charges the merchant a fee for using the card, might the dealer be willing to come off the final price an amount equal to the fee at the last minute if I offered cash instead?
Plus the air miles/ Rewards added to the card would be a huge boost if I bought a car on it.
