It may also be cheaper to pay for a reserve

than to pay for a high starting price. I really don't understand the purpose of hiding the reserve amount. I would place it in my description. If more than one buyer wants the chip at an appropriate price, it should not depress the final result, as opposed to a secret reserve figure (yes, some won't bid if they see a reserve at all, but that would affect both secret and disclosed reserve figures). It will also save a lot of wasted time for those who never intended to meet the reserve price in the first place.

Am I missing something? Probably. vbg
