I have just searched for some chips in the Chip & Token Report from the Nevada Gaming Commission (http://gaming.nv.gov/documents/pdf/chip_token_hist.pdf) and found several chips that were denied and showed the following remark: "DENIED. ALL CHIPS MUST BE $1 OR HIGHER".

Is there really a law or gaming regulation that prevents casinos from issuing new fractionals? When did this change in the regulation happend and what happens for the few fractionals that are still available in select casinos?
