The logic used by a lot of players is to use the big 6&8 to place a lower wager and if it hits they use what they bet and won, to place bet that number. Example if the house has a min place bet of $6.00 on the 6&8 player will use a $3 bet on the Big 6&8 and when they are payed on a hit they place the number that hit. They don't seem to mind not getting paid true odds if on the first hit.

When I dealt in NV it was also a claim bettors delight. Grabbing the payoff as soon as dealer paid it and the real owner of the bet and dealer are not sure who it belongs to-well!!!! Also have seen a lot of sleepers on the Big 6&8 which end up in a claimers pocket as a player forgot they had this bet.
