The idea of bringing back $2 blackjack is a good one but they must really think that people are so naive that they can't figure out how they are getting screwed here. Yes, they will get players no doubt but here they are only demonstrating another way they are looking to shaft the customers
Many of the casinos are now in the hands of banks, bond holders and investors that know nothing about the casino business except the bottom line PROFIT.
There is a reason why people are leaving Atlantic City in droves and a good part of it has to do with customer service.
Years ago they catered to the bus crowd. Now many casinos don't even want the bus people anymore.
The entertainment except perhaps with the exception of the Borgata has gone down hill
Many hotels have closed gourmet restaurants and the ones that are open, they have raised prices instead of lowering them
At the Taj, they used to have a brisk business for Sunday brunch until they raised the pricing to $45 per person
as a result, they wound up closing the Sunday brunch all together due to lack of business. I wonder why
I'm sure the same holds true for many of the other casinos.
I could literally write volumes on what they have done to chase away business and they continue to do so while they blame eveything and everyone except themselves
