Wow, it really surprises me all the good reviews here for restaurants at the California. I have never eaten in the nice restaurants there, but have been in there and the Fremont several times. It seems like both hotels cater to Hawaiian tourists. I have eaten in both hotels casual restaurant, and found the food to be very mediocre, at best.

I think I'll try the Prime Rib at the California Hotel restaurant when I am in town later this month..
