Don, a quick google search reveals that your Dell 8250 uses RDRAM memory (Rambus) which was very expensive memory when it was brand new. Like Don said it will probably be more cost effective to go ahead and buy a new computer now as it looks like four sticks of 512 MB Rambus memory for your machine would set you back somewhere north of $300 or $400.
