The only thing(s) historians knew of the club thru the years were a few metal jetons, some postcards and stock certificate; then, one day on eBay, the pair popped up. Justin Ferris e-mailed me telling me about the French eBay auction... and I couldn't believe my eyes. I placed a bid and within a few minutes the two auctions (one each piece) started getting a lot of action... and it turned out to be the kind of action from non-chippers; like folks from the same village the seller lived in along with some legit bids from some well-known French heavy hitters. There was a little private e-mail action between me and someone and before I knew it bids were being retracted left and right... and there I stood: the sole bidder.
