It started snowing lightly around 10 am this morning. About 2" on the ground now and the wind is picking up and the temperature is dropping. Nassau County, Long Island, where I live, is expected to get the worst of the storm with 12" to 16" of snow and high winds through out the NY Metro area. Blizzard conditions this evening and emergency warnings not to leave home if at all possible. We only get a storm like this once every few years. To all my chipper friends in the area, and up and down the eastern seaboard take cover and stay warm.
