I have a few old Rose design chips of the Seymour code PL-FS. It's not in Dales book, it's a newer coded chip. The chip at the right of the attached photo is somewhat different than the other two. Even though they are all different, I think, by hand engraving. I notice at least three differences. The centering of the flower is much better on the last chip. The ring is larger on that chip. It's over 25MM and the other two are well under 25MM. Certainly a different die was used to make the ring. The style of engraving is much freer and curvier on the last chip. The other two have very angular petals on the rose. All three chips are very similar front and back. Has anyone else noticed these variations. I don't feel it's worthy of a new code but, the devil is in the details.
