My 1,000th chip arrived yesterday (Thanks David ) - in fact 21 chips which smashed through the barrier and gave me the first 10 towards the next 1,000 (now that could be difficult!!!)

So the winner of the competition is....drum role please.... Derek Bistricky, who got the date spot on. Derek - if you can email me your address I will get a small selection of obsolete UK chips out to you. Hopefully they will be a nice addition to your collection, but I'm happy for you to use them as traders (I know sometimes that not all competition wins fit neatly into everyone's collection).

And thank you to those that also contacted me with chips for sale or trade to add to my collection. New UK chips that I need are getting harder to find, but they do keep popping up as the number of collectors here (or at least those who collect the chips, even if not based here) is slowly growing.
