If three roulette chips you needed for your collection were selling on thechipboard.com for $15 each and no one makes an offer…the next day the seller offers the same chips at $12 each (all the current chip price guides indicate that $25 each is the going price for each roulette chip)
A - You contact the seller and buy the three chips for $12 each?
B - You don’t buy because you believe "Fair prices, but not giving things away" sellers shouldn’t lower their prices to sell their chips?
My point is that buyers & sellers make the market. If sellers wish to lower prices, then they have the right to do so…buyers will come in when they feel the value of the product is worth what they are paying.
You stated, “What message does this send to new and potentially new collectors ?? “ I believe it shows that you should follow thechipboard.com as you can find some very good chip prices from fellow chip collectors on chips they no longer desire and they wish to sell them without going through eBay and other sources.
