A new feature was added to the ChipGuide today. I had several hours to kill while in a hospital waiting room. You can now search the CHIP catalog by ChipGuide number or Catalog number.

In the left side column, under FEATURES, is a new item called CHIP SEARCH. Click it to go to the Chip Search page. Then you can enter either the ChipGuide number or a Catalog number and press SHOW. If it is a Nevada chip, you can put The Chip Rack (TCR) number in the CATALOG field and search on that.
