THEY ARE O.K. FOR SCANNING FLAT DOCUMENTS BUT NOT FOR SCANNING CHIPS.
BETTER OFF BUYING A NICE USED SCANNER ON CRAIGSLIST WHERE YOU CAN TRY IT OUT LOCALLY B4 BUYING.
