My first was at Palace Station in Las Vegas.
I can remember it like it was yesterday...1998.
Was in a 2-4 Limit Holdem game, Jackpot was 50k.

I held KJs.
The flop was ATs x.
I checked, the guy behind me bets.
I call.

The turn was the Qs.
I checked, he bets, and I call all in.

The river was a A.
I asked him on the river if he made a hand?
He said sorry, I have Aces full of Tens (he held AT offsuit).

You should have heard the screaming when I turned over the royal.
My share was 10k, he didn't realize he won 20k for the bad beat.
The table share was over $1600 each.

One guy had gone to the restroom and missed the hand.
If he was dealt in, we would have never hit it.
He was so upset that he picked up his chips and left.
When we all realized what happened, we all said we would have given some (not a full share) from each of our shares, but it was too late, he was gone.

I've had two other royals, one for another smaller jackpot, and one for a high hand bonus.
