Not trying to pick a fight, just trying to make a point. How many times have you had to call a CCC rep to settle a dispute? Why can't one or two be available to be dispatched to the casinos. Originally when the gaming started in 1978 it was a great rule, it gave credibility to the New Jersey gaming laws being tough. Politically New Jersey had to prove they had tougher gaming laws than Nevada, they were the new kid on the block and needed credibility. Now with video surveillance (many casinos are digital) and many big gaming corporations have a policy of self reporting (if the state agency missed something) I feel that the policy needs to be revised.
As for the blatant lying at cage, I can't attest what happened in the case that you witnessed - it may have been blatant, it may have been a clueless employee. Employees and supervisors are not always perfect; sometimes employees and supervisors get confused over the rules (they have a lot of rules to remember), no matter how hard you try to communicate the right information - I know this because I run two cages at two properties and sometimes mistakes and mis-information happen.
