It would be very important to verify that the initials imaged on the chip are the same as imaged on the record. If the record does not have the stamping from the die and instead the initials are done in hand or by typewriter, then you might be barking up the wrong tree.

On the other hand, if the die was used to make an impression of the initials on the record, then that is exceptional information!
