Whenever I get a chip from someone in a #10 white envelope my heart sinks. More times than not the chips are broken. People will put chips between thin cereal box cardboard and think that will protect them. That's still a rigid combination and in a plain envelope it's just asking for the post office machinery to crunch it. The padded envelope is the only way.
