First of all I have to say that I have never done any business with Sahara Coins, never had any contact with them. Absolutely never. Remembering back several years ago, Sahara Coins began selling slabbed chips. There was a big uproar in the chip collecting community and slabbed chips never caught on. I did two things concerning slabbed chips: 1) I wrote an article about how slabbed chips might be OK for coins, but were not needed for casino chips; and 2) I joined the "No Slabbing" chapter. In either activity I did not mention or have anything to do with Sahara Coins.
Fast forward several years, until earlier this year. I bid on a (non slabbed) chip on eBay. I did not realize the seller was Sahara Coins. I was banned from bidding on their auctions. I wrote Sahara Coins asking me why the ban? The response was, we don't know but you must have done something bad. OK, so I thought, their loss, I won't bid on any of their auctions, what jerks.
Then today, today. I get a Happy Thanksgiving email from Sahara Coins. Does anybody there have a clue as to what they are doing? I am going to send Sahara Coins a $1 so they can buy a clue.
So to everyone, except Sahara Coins, Happy Thanksgiving.
