I am fairly a new member just about 9 months. My take would be that is a very poor way of packing something and it is the senders responsibility 100% that the goods are damaged. I know you might feel funny emailing the person but they should never send anything out so carelessly packed with tape adhered directly on the goods. Like I said my opinion and I know many will disagree. Hope it wasn't a one of a kind and they can send a replacement.
