An example of what you see is not what you get. Below is an interesting chip. When I first looked at it I thought to myself: "Self....You haven't seen this Harold's Club $100 chip with 3 green and 3 blue inserts before, you've only seen it with 3 blue inserts". Okay....time to look it up in my handy 13th edition TCR. Hmmmm....no such listing. Ok, fine....let's check our trusty Official Price Guide 4th edition. Nope, not listed there either. Ok, fine, there is Larry's great online resource for Northern Nevada and of course Paul's Silver State Treasures site. Interesting.... no listing there for this chip.

Now the discussion with myself progresses to "Could this be an unlisted and undocumented chip? Could this be unique? Could this be an odd error?

Alrighty then.....time to start asking around to chipper friends with some emails. Nope....nothing enlightening from my buddies. They've never seen one with 3 blue and 3 green inserts. Some help they turned out to be!

I say to myself: Self....let's not jump to conclusions yet." Let's toss out a few more emails" Somebody has to have seen this chip somewhere.
