We know that the original El Cortez Las Vegas opened in May of 1941. Does anyone know the day in May that they officially opened? The "accepted" day by the El Cortez is May 10th, but they're not 100% sure and haven't been able to find confirming documentation on that.

Any help, including your documentation of the exact day of the month would be greatly appreciated.
