I have played poker near Paducah a few times. Kind of surprised I hadn’t met or heard of Mike Ladd.
Games down there were good to me.
I bought the MLB chips in a lot of 15, new to me hub molds. 2 new Indiana illegals and now 1 new KY illegal in the lot. Also in the lot was new to me IA, Military, CO. CA, WI, and NJ chips. Still looking for ID’s on a couple of them. It is always a good day when you tie an ID to a new illegal chip.
Enough of that:
Kentucky:
Mason Record:
MLB
Mike Ladd
Paducah KY
9/22/78
Also $5, $10, $25 chips made
Michael Lee Ladd, born 1944 (34 when chips ordered). Michael was associated with a "I-NO Club" in the mid 60's and "A.M. Supper Club" in the late 60's early 70's and a company called "Club Management of Paducah" in the 80's (I don't know what kind of clubs these were). He's been involved in many different business enterprises in Paducah
I spoke to Michael Ladd.
Michael Lee Ladd, ran a poker game in Paducah with Wayne McDowell, and another, guy last name Berkley.
McDowell, Ladd, Berkley = MLB.
They cut the pot. Raking the pot is illegal in KY. That makes the chips illegals, IMO. Sounded exactly what I used to do in N KY 1960’s-1980.
Michael is 2 years younger than me.
I asked him what he did today. He told me:
“I love to fly. I bought two airplanes.”
Also promised to send me some other chips.
Not the MLB’s.
I have no traders of the MLB.
