Where do you live John? I has been beautiful here in South Eastern Arizona. Days are in the 80s and right now, an hour after sundown, it is 61 outside the house. This time of year I will cool the house with the overnight cool temps with some windows open and a couple of window fans. I harvest as much cool air as I can overnight and then close the windows and leave the fans on in the morning when the outside temps match the inside temp. That way I do not need to run the A/C or the Furnace at all when I am at work and rarely on the weekends. We are at 4600 feet here so we will see some snow in late December - January - February but it is usually melted away by noon the next day. Right now I am wearing shorts & a cut off "T" shirt but as it get colder I will get out the flanel PJ bottoms with long sleeve T shirt and maybe sweat pants and sweater before I will turn the heat on. I don't worry about the chips getting too cold as much as I worry about them getting too warm in the Summer. Summer is brutal here but the highest electric bill I have ever had is $175. Someday I will spend the Winters here in Arizona and the Summers in a cooler place... I hope.
