There are a few casinos in the islands that had paper inlayed chips at one time. Here are a pair from the Lina. I'm not sure how the chips were made but I know that I have seen many that had a coating over both sides that looks like it was applied after the chips were made. I guess that the casinos noticed that the paper inlays were wearing out fast and they tried to protect them with a hand applied seal coating. Does anyone have other examples of similar paper chip inlays. Either of these is for sale for $30 shipped, $50 takes the pair. I don't think many chips survived.
