I will be going to San Juan and St. Maarten casinos in a week and I was wondering what is the dress code there? Shorts OK? Long pants? Suit and tie? Tennis shoes OK? At each stop on our cruise I hope to play for a while with my metal detector on the beach and then hit the casinos so shorts and tennis shoes is the best choice for me.

I hope I don't run into the same problem as I did in the Netherlands where my dress was OK except I couldn't go in with tennis shoes on. So I had to go around the corner where they had a rack of "discount casino shoes". Only cost me $70 for a pair of shoes that didn't fit so they got worn once. And then all of the chips were the same as the ones I had picked up at another casino the day before. GEEEZ!
