Unless your strictly in the hobby for a profit (And I think one would be foolish if that is why someone would collect), the reasons are probably the same.

1) I collect Casino Chips because of places I visit and keep them as mementos. - The Same can be said for personals. I collect them from friends I know and to remember them by.

2) I collect Casino Chips for the History - Personal chips also has a history. Many of them like the Greg Bryson have an infamous history. Others like Gregs chips we will remember from the chipboard get togethers.

3) I collect Casino chips because I am a collector and collect everything - Bingo, same answr for personals.

4) I collect Casino Chips because I love the hobby and the people I have met - What better way to forther than enjoyment than by collecting personals.

Amazingly enough I never mentioned cost once in the items above, so why would the cost of a personal chip matter?
